Equipped with M57 M57Y M57N2 L6 3.0L Turbo Diesel engine and DDE73 EDC17CP09 DDE.
This service will reset the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) counter allowing you to drive the car in order to update the fluid quality and level in the DDE (Digital Diesel Electronics).
SCR fluid is commonly known as AdBlue or urea-water solution. DDE (engine computer) monitors both the quality and level of AdBlue. If either falls below the specifications, so called 'warning and shut-down scenario' takes place. Yellow and then red message 'NO START IN xxx mls' will inform the driver how many miles until it will no longer be possible to start the engine. CID (Central Information Display) will display additional information, such as: Exhaust Fluid Reserve!, Exhaust Fluid!, Refill Exhaust Fluid!, or Exhaust Fluid Incorrect!
